SubmissionsGeneral
***PLEASE NOTE: AS OF NOVEMBER 2009 WE ARE CURRENTLY ON HIATUS. PLEASE WATCH THIS SPACE FOR A LATER REVIVAL, AND THANK YOU FOR FOLLOWING US THIS FAR!***
Mimesis accepts submissions of poetry and poetry-related articles/reviews/interviews. We also accept black and white artwork for inclusion in the journal's pages, and full-colour cover-art (but our system differs from that of other journals, so please read ahead).
We only accept electronic submissions, via email.
Write your full name in the subject line of the email with the title of your piece, and the genre (poem/review/etc). All submissions must be original and unpublished. Online workshops and personal blogs do not count as prior publication, so long as they are removed where possible. If your work is published you will receive a copy of the journal as payment. We consider simultaneous submissions when noted.
Our average response time is between 1 and 3 months.

Poetry
Send 2 to 6 poems to (we are currently on hiatus) in the body of the email. If your writing is heavily reliant on white space formatting and similar, .RTF/.DOC/.PDF files are acceptable (though use only one for multiple poems, please).
~
Poetry-related prose (non-fiction)
Send 1-3 pieces to (we are currently on hiatus) as .RTF/.DOC/.PDF attachments.

Artwork
Mimesis works on a system of taking on panels of illustrators for issues at a time. Please send sample work to (we are currently on hiatus) in high resolution JPG, PDF or TIFF format. She will then pick illustrators to do poem-specific artwork for the upcoming issue.
